Functionality is the foundation of its truth. A well-designed chair must support the body comfortably; a well-designed house must shelter, inspire, and adapt to its users’ needs. If it fails to fulfill these fundamental purposes, it cannot be considered good design—no matter how visually striking it may be.Good design, like truth, emerges from a clear understanding of purpose.
